About North Island College

Campus

Providing affordable, accessible post-secondary education is at the heart of what we do at NIC. Geographically, NIC’s facilities serve a region of 80,000 square kilometres that includes northern Vancouver Island and the BC mainland coast from Desolation Sound to Klemtu. We are proud to serve our communities through four campus locations, a learning centre and a number of online and distance learning options.

NIC was established in 1975 as a primarily distance education institution. It now serves students at Campbell River, Comox Valley, Port Alberni and Mixalakwila campuses, as well as through many in-community programs delivered in partnership with remote communities across 80,000 km2 from Ucluelet on Vancouver Island’s west coast to Bella Coola on the central mainland.

NIC offers a wide range of programs for undergraduate and post graduates. Study in the picturesque Comox Valley where an adventure and quality education awaits you. Our class sizes are small and tuition affordable. With an exclusive array of transfer agreements, NIC is also a great place to start your studies and transfer seamlessly to university.
